CDP Black Cement III's

Here is our first look at the upcoming CDP Black Cement III's.

It's been seven long years since the last retro release of the black cement III's dropped. We have seen the price tag on the 2001 retro's go from the original $99.99 to well over $500.00 for a perfect dead-stock pair. Out of reach for most average collectors. This will make the III/XX package a must have for all the Jordan Heads that never got a chance to own a pair. The $310 CDP price tag doesn't seem so bad considering you get another pretty dope pair of sneakers with it, the XX's.

The only thing missing is that big fat white juicy NIKE AIR logo on the back, but with a shoe this sexy I think I can deal with the Jumpman Air.

Compared to most other Black based Air Jordan's Mike saw very little time on the court in the Black Cement III's.

To my knowledge Mike's only official NBA game in the Black Cement III's was the 1988 All-Star Game in Chicago.

Mike also appeared in the Black Cements during the one of the first Nike commercials featuring Spike Lee as "Mars Blackmon".

Nooooooobody!

Jordan named "Citizen of the Carolinas"

Mike is adding another title to his long list of achivments, this time from the Charlotte Chamber.

Michael Jordan is this year's "Citizen of the Carolinas".

Mike joins the ranks of his former Tar Heels coach Dean Smith, the Federal Reserve chairman and other VIPs with Carolinas ties, the Chamber announced Friday.

The award is given annually to a person from North Carolina or South Carolina who has brought positive recognition to the states.

Jordan made the cut because of his success on and off the court and his charitable contributions, Chamber officials said in a press release. The Chamber will present the award at its annual meeting in November. Past winners include Billy Graham, Dean Smith, Hugh McColl, Ben Bernanke and Jerry Richardson.

Wine & Grind

Jordan Brand partnered up with International Streetball Tournament "Quai 54" to produce 2 very symbolic shoes, Wine & Grind, exclusive to the city of Paris.

The Wine, appropriately colored in dark maroon, represents the French’s sophistication and is designed with Air Jordan Fusion V as the base model. The Grind represents the alleys and playgrounds of Paris, and is embodied by the Jordan Esterno.

170 pairs of the Wine will be made and only be sold at Opium and Colette shops in Paris. Only 155 pairs of the Grind will be made and sold at Opium, Colette, and Foot Locker Pierre Lescot.

Both shoes will be available July 4th, with a special animation released by Nike for Colette on the night of July 3rd.

Thank Hypebeast for the pic's and info.

1985 Promo Sample Nike Air Jordan 1

Heres something you don't see everyday...

A pair of original 1985 Promo Sample Nike Air Jordan I's on ebay, Only 3 pairs in the world.

This is the same pair that was pictured in the famous Jordan Magazine promo.

An early production test sample, look at the "Nike" Wings Logo; not the same as all of the general production pairs from 1985. Sz 7.5: White/Black/Red. These were never made in any other size.

The materials used are different, as is the process of putting the shoe together. The sole is not the regular 1985 Original Jordan 1 Sole as you can see, a prototype dunk sole.

Notice on the tongue: there is no "Air" under the Swoosh, just the "Nike" above the Swoosh.

Even the original Sample sticker is still fully intact.

This is a true piece of Air Jordan history and a collectors dream sneaker to own.

They can be yours for only seventy-two hundred dollars!

Thank ebay member "screech5511" for the pictures.

Marty McFly's

I usally keep it all about Mike on the blog but I had to make an exception for the debut of the Nike Hyper Dunk Mc Fly's.

Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield for Back to the Future II now set to drop as an official NIKE sneaker.

The NIKE Hyperdunk 2015 is set to drop this summer but you better get you hustle on. Only 500 pairs available for the public.

I wonder what the box is gonna look like???

Memory Lane

Today's Memory Lane picture comes from NIKETALK member "MightyMYT".

Looks like Mike is at some kind of NIKE exhibition game in Germany.
I'm guessing the picture is from the late 80's by the other players sneakers. Maybe 1988 or 89.

If you look close you can see mike rockin' an old school friendship bracelet on his wrist.

I guess Mike made some friends overseas.

Kim Like's Mike?

Well not really, but any reason to put pictures of Kim Kardashian on your blog is cool with me.
