When you think about early 90's Hip Hop and early 90's basketball two major influences come to mind...
Michael Jordan and A Tribe Called Quest.
One of my favorite clothing brands UNDRCRWN made this connection a few years ago dropping the "UNDRCRWN THEROY" shirt mixing Tribe's "The Low End Theroy" album cover with a classic shot of Mike from the '85 Dunk Contest.
UNDRCWN kept that theme going with the very popular "KEEP BOUCING" RockSmith Tokoyo coloabroation shirt.
It's no surprise that Jordan Brand is taking this same idea and creating a sneaker with the same concept.
I am a big fan of the Air Jordan I's and A Tribe Called Quest, really looking forward to seeing this sneaker in person.
Jordan Brand even has some shirts dropping with the sneakers that are a play on one of the best hip-hop albums of all time, Midnight Marauders.
Not exactly the most original idea from the Jordan Brand, but it's still a dope concept no matter who thought of it first.
Enuff of all the shirts and shoes shit...
